Land Acknowledgment
In the spirit of truth and reconciliation, the Greater Sudbury Airport acknowledges with respect that we currently gather, service, and operate on the traditional lands of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek and that the City of Greater Sudbury includes the traditional lands of our neighbour, the Wahnapitae First Nation. We also acknowledge the Robinson-Huron Treaty of 1850 and remain committed to reconciliation, partnership, and enhanced understanding together with Indigenous Peoples.
A Message from our CEO
Future Outlook: A Message from the CEO of Greater Sudbury Airport
As we look to the future, the Greater Sudbury Airport stands at the threshold of a new era in aviation and regional connectivity. Despite the slow recovery of many regional airports since the global pandemic, our commitment to excellence and the resilience of our dedicated team have allowed us to navigate an ever-changing landscape with agility and determination. We have a deep commitment to serve the needs of our passengers, partners, employees, and the greater community.
We have launched a new strategic plan built around a clear and impactful purpose:
“Committed to safe, accessible, and customer-focused air transportation, enabling economic growth in Greater Sudbury through partnerships with businesses, government, and our community. Fly Sudbury.”
This strategic plan is guided by four foundational pillars: Passengers, People, Property, and Partners. Our commitment to passengers focuses on elevating their experience by enhancing services, streamlining operations, and integrating innovative technologies for safe, efficient, and enjoyable travel. Recognizing that our team is our greatest asset, we are dedicated to investing in employee development and fostering a culture of inclusivity and collaboration. The property pillar emphasizes modernizing infrastructure, optimizing land use, and expanding facilities to support sustainable growth. Finally, by strengthening partnerships with airlines, local businesses, and community stakeholders, we aim to drive economic development and deliver lasting value to the Greater Sudbury region. This all-encompassing approach will enable Greater Sudbury Airport to thrive in a dynamic aviation landscape while delivering exceptional service and value to all those we serve.
We are excited about what lies ahead, and we remain dedicated to providing safe, accessible, and customer-focused services to everyone who travels through our doors. As the Greater Sudbury Airport continues to grow and evolve, we do so with the goal of being a hub of progress, opportunity, and community pride.
As we embrace the challenges and opportunities ahead, I am confident that together, we will shape a future of innovation, growth, and lasting success.
Thank you for your continued support, trust, and flying with the Greater Sudbury Airport.
