We’re here to help you travel smart. Here are some important national aviation rules and tips to help you travel smoothly through the airport.
Check in times and departure procedures vary according to your destination and airline.
Please arrive at the airport at least 60 minutes before your scheduled domestic departure and 90 minutes for international flights.
Plan ahead. Leave yourself enough time to get to the airport during peak travel periods to avoid any weather or road issues.

Beat the rush. Check in online. Visit your airline’s website and check-in prior to arriving at the airport.

Every passenger is required to have valid photo identification documents. Please contact your airline for current documentation requirements. Remember that you will need proof of citizenship when travelling to the U.S. or internationally.
When you're travelling outside of Canada always carry a valid passport. A driver's license is not sufficient.

If you are sending a child unaccompanied on a flight please contact your airline for more information.
If you are travelling with a child that is not related to you, you will require a signed letter giving permission for travel from the child's parent or guardian. Please contact your airline for more information.
Please be advised you will require identification for each child (birth certificate and/or medical card).
Every passenger is responsible for their luggage. Never leave your luggage unattended.
The baggage allowance (number of pieces, size, and weight) for checked and carry on luggage may differ from one airline to another. Fees may apply for excess baggage. Please contact your airline for more information.
If your luggage does not arrive or is damaged, please contact your airline directly.
Complimentary baggage carts are conveniently located throughout the airport.
There are no Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) officers stationed at the Greater Sudbury Airport. If travelling on commercial air service internationally, you will clear customs either prior to leaving Canada, at a connecting airport, or once you arrive at your international destination.
