Porter And JetBlue Keep Rolling Out Destinations

GREATER SUDBURY, February 25, 2015 – The first wave of 31 destinations are now available as part of an interline agreement between Toronto-based Porter Airlines and New York-based JetBlue Airways. Passengers can book flights directly on Porter’s website, www.flyporter.com.

“Porter’s connection with JetBlue has opened up more exciting destinations for our passengers from our convenient downtown Toronto location,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “The response to date has been overwhelmingly positive and we know that the popularity of this partnership will only increase in 2015.”

Since Porter and JetBlue announced their initial partnership in October, routes have been steadily added and “connecting at Boston and Toronto hubs means more destinations for Sudbury passengers,” states Bob Johnston, CEO for the Greater Sudbury Airport.

Sudbury passengers can connect to JetBlue destinations via Boston Logan International Airport, which Porter flies up to eight times daily from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, providing connection times throughout the day.

Long Beach, CA, New Orleans, Nantucket, and Portland, OR, are the latest additions to the route map. The new U.S. routes also include multiple west coast destinations, such as Los Angeles and San Diego; across the east coast, such as Raleigh/Durham and Philadelphia; and the southeast, such as Tampa and Jacksonville.

More cities will be added in 2015 as schedules are announced for both airlines. A full list of destinations is available at Porter’s website. Not all routes are available from Sudbury.
