Airport Tours (for children)

Has your child always wanted a behind-the-scenes look at the Greater Sudbury Airport? You don't need a plane ticket to get to know the airport better! Our airport tours will put you at the heart of the action.

Kids find airports fascinating, and the Greater Sudbury Airport is no exception. The Airport Tour Program welcomes children from ages 5 to 12 to discover and enjoy a unique experience at the airport.

Tour Features

The program provides the opportunity to explore airport facilities and services and experience the daily operations of the airport, its tenants and airlines.

Groups will visit the airline ticket counter areas, the security checkpoints, flight display monitors, rental car areas, and baggage carousels. The last stop on the tour is the Airport Emergency Services Facility, which will explore the unique equipment used to keep the airport runways safe. While visiting this facility, you'll also be able to view the planes taking off and landing.

The tours are offered completely FREE of charge. Tours are only offered in English. Participants will receive fun handouts after the Tour.
